Whatever you do, do not pack them into plastic boxes. Plastic boxes can retain moisture and this will cause mould to grow on your books, damaging them.

This is important for the books you are storing and the books you have out on display. Sunlight will bleach your book jackets, causing the colours to fade and to sometimes completely change colour.
