Newbury storage units – New Facility now open and how to organise your storage unit

We are so excited to announce that our new facility and Newbury storage units are now open.

Newbury is such an idyllic market town and we are very excited to be in this beautiful area. There’s so much to explore in the wonderful countryside – go on walks down Kennet and Avon Canal, visit all the amazing castles and find out all about the history of the town.

We are also excited to become a part of the local community. With all our Cinch Self Storage facilities, we want to be a part of the local community. We want to support local events and help local businesses and local people by providing them with top-notch self-storage. Our Newbury team are all self-storage experts and they are ready to help you find your perfect unit.

And alongside that, we want to make sure that you use your unit to its full potential so here are our top tips for organising your Newbury storage units.

Pack items according to how often you need them

When you begin packing the items that you want to store in your Newbury storage units, think about how to order them when you reach your unit.

Any items that you may need in the next few months should go to the front. Anything that you only need once a year, such as Christmas decorations, should go to the back.

This is the same if you are using your unit for your business. All your best sellers should be at the front in a place where you can get to them quickly and easily.

Label everything

As you pack up your items, make sure to label every single box and packed item. If the box contains multiple items make the label as detailed as possible.

This will make your life so much easier in the future when you need an item.

Make an inventory list

Once everything is packed and labelled and you are beginning to put it all into your unit, make an inventory list telling you where everything is going within the unit.

Stick this list inside your unit and this will be another time saver when you need something from your unit.

This is really crucial if you are using your unit for your e-commerce/retail business as it will also allow you to keep track of all your stock.

Use all the space

If you are only storing boxes, make sure to pack them as high as possible, putting the heavier boxes on the bottom.

If you are using your Newbury storage units to store stock, add shelving and rails so you can make the most of the space within your unit.

If you are storing furniture, store it all upright so it doesn’t take a huge amount of wall or floor space.

Our storage units in Newbury will be a great help to many members of the community, for both domestic and business purposes.
