This year, each of our Cinch Self Storage store teams have chosen charities to support. For each charity we will be donating £2 for every move into the store. Customers will also be able to donate, either by adding £2 to their bill or using tokens to ‘vote’ for their favourite charity.

The final charity chosen by our Leighton Buzzard team is The East Anglian Air Ambulance. 

The East Anglian Air Ambulance

The East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is an air ambulance service. They provide Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) across the English counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. 

In the summer of 2000, top jockey Frankie Detorri launched the appeal to fund the EAAA. Detorri had been a casualty in a serious plane crash a couple of months earlier. Flying commenced in January 2001 and it was initially only available only one day a week. The EAAA now operates two helicopters, 365 days a year, from its bases at Cambridge Airport and Norwich Airport. Their services cover over 5,000 square miles and a population of approximately 3.5 million.
