Cemre Koccat, an artist and propmaker, is moving into a new home with space for a home art studio. Our storage in Enfield has proven to be helpful. Here’s how.
Cemre Koccat’s dream of becoming an artist began when she was 14 years old. To make this dream a reality, Cemre studied at the University of Arts London, focusing on special effects and prop-making for film and theatre.
This led her into the exciting and glamorous world of the film industry working as a technical effects designer and as a freelance prop maker. Her freelance work led her to working on a variety of projects, including music videos for Katie Melua and Kylie Minogue, musicals including Wicked, Shrek: The Musical, the Batman Musical, and the 2009 remake of Clash of the Titans.
Cemre also designed the skins for the animatronic fish within the ‘Robotcity’ project at the London Aquarium in 2006. In 2011, she began teaching Art and Design and Media make up, both privately and via lecturing at colleges.
Cemre’s focus has now moved over to her personal art practise, with her main mediums being oil painting and sculpture. Her ideas arise from her subconscious and relationship with her higher-self, and she often finds herself waking up to new ideas to share with the world.
Her latest creative endeavour is an exhibition called ‘Finders Keepers’. ‘Finders Keepers’ will contain 9 sculptures and, one at a time, they will be hidden in various places across the UK. Whoever finds and engages with the sculpture will be allowed to keep it. This very unique exhibition has a great amount of meaning as each sculpture will feature a message about women’s rights, something which is of great importance to Cemre.
Cemre’s shift in focus toward her artistic practise has delightfully coincided with the growth of her family. To devote time to both her child and her art, Cemre is currently in the midst of moving to a larger home where she will set up a home-studio.
To make the moving process run smoothly, Cemre chose to store her personal belongings and art supplies with Cinch Self Storage Enfield.
Great customer service
Cemre found Cinch Self Storage Enfield by chance after driving past it but the ease of the entire process and the excellent customer service that she found from the team was enough to make her know she had chosen the right storage company.
‘I drove past Cinch Self Storage and I was drawn to it because we were looking for a storage space and needed something really urgently. I went in and spoke with Fatima. She was so helpful. She did the whole process so quickly and everything went so smoothly. It was great customer service.’
We pride ourselves on offering each of our customers excellent customer service and we are so happy to hear that Cemre has experienced this at our Enfield store.
Convenient location and access
Cinch Self Storage Enfield’s convenient location and access are a great help to Cemre as she moves home.
“It’s local to us and I have easy access to it, with high security, which is great.”
With each of our stores we look for a location that is going to be the most convenient for people who live and work within the surrounding area.
And we offer convenient access as we know people’s lives don’t run 9-5, so why would we? Our Enfield store has extended opening hours Monday to Sunday, 6am to 11pm. This ease of access does not stop your belongings from being safe and secure. Each person is only able to access their unit and we have state of the art alarm systems on each unit, alongside 24/7 CCTV.
Our storage is here to make your life easier and we are so happy that we have been able to help Cemre with her house move.
